Siyaha work on inclusive tourism

 Jordan is still in its infancy in regards to inclusive tourism. The Higher Council for Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) and the Greater Amman Municipality have started building on national policies and building guidelines to accommodate the disabled in the country. USAID/Siyaha realizes the need to offer equal opportunities, which are enjoyed by the rest of society in the tourism industry, to people with disabilities and is aware of the need for an accessible environment. USAID/Siyaha has been encouraging barrier-free environments and accessible tourism by considering accessibility while planning and implementing tourism projects. USAID/Siyaha is working on enhancing Jordan’s preparedness for inclusive tourism in order to ensure that facilities and servcies within the sector are accessiblee number of services and archaeological sites in the tourism sector available to persons with disabilities.
