The USAID Building Economic Sustainability through Tourism Project (BEST) is supporting a number of exciting initiatives that aim to help Jordan’s tourism sector address existing challenges and achieve its tourism potential. Support to the Royal Motorcycle Club of Jordan is helping promote Jordan as a motorcycle tourism destination. Jordan Trail Association is receiving BEST project support to promote and develop the Jordan Trail. Karma House DMC is promoting Jordan to the South American market with BEST support; and associations including Jordan Restaurant Association and Jordan Tour Guides Association will soon be offering their members improved professional services. Meanwhile, USAID BEST continues to train hotel staff to implement the national Pathways to Professionalism initiative, and a partnership with USAID’s Takamol-Gender project is opening doors for women-owned tourism startups.
