Quality assurance and enhancement

Increasingly demanding tourists and advancement in technology are setting new standards for tourism products. Jordan must ensure that its promise of a quality tourism experience meets and even exceeds visitor expectations. Currently, many hotels are improperly graded with one or two stars higher than equivalent international standards. JTD II worked with MoTA and the industry to design and pilot a new hotel classification system; JTD II will roll this out across the Kingdom, and expand it to cover campsites, guesthouses, restaurants and fast food outlets, wellness centers and spas, tour guides, and tourist transport. The goal is to achieve a distinguished standard of excellence in tourist services and facilities.
