Businesses around Jordan benefit from tourism loan product
USAID BEST work to improve tourism access to finance continues to benefit small and medium-sized enterprises in Jordan.Seven tourism projects have benefited from the Central Bank short-term loan program and other tourism loan products. These include two travel agencies, four restaurants and a shop for traditional handicrafts. The projects are located around Jordan, in Jerash, Amman, Petra and Fuhais. The loans total more than half a million Jordanian dinars and the businesses will create around 70 jobs.
USAID BEST partnered with four Jordanian banks, including the Housing Bank, Capital Bank, Jordan Ahli Bank and Islamic International Arab Bank to improve access to finance for small and medium-sized tourism enterprises in Jordan.
