 Hellenic Aid-funded Tourism Projects in Madaba

Hellinic Aid is providing almost  half a million Euros to fund two projects in Madaba. The first is to build a  shelter for the Martyr's Church and the second is to enhance interpretation at  the city's most visited site - the ancient mosaic map of the Holy Land in the Church of St. George.
  A ceremony will be held to  launch the project and sign an agreement between the implementing partners,  which are:

     
  • Greek Orthodox Church

  • Ministry of State for Foreign Affairs of Greece
  •  
  • Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation
  •  
  • Department of Antiquities
  •  
  • Madaba Institute of Mosaic Art and Restoration
  •  
  • Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities
  •  
  • USAID/Jordan Tourism Development Project
